UPDATE: The iMac arrived and it’s been a fun ride ever since. Christine and I have done our share of video conferencing and hope to try it out transcontinently with our parents … and even out to Rome.
I waited anxiously all morning for the delivery of my new 26-pound bundle of joy. Also known as the 24-inch iMac. The frustration and joy of tracking packages is not knowing exactly when the man in blue will arrive at the front door. Today, I missed him by 20 minutes. ARGH!!

This is my first computer upgrade at home in five years. Im’ so excited!! The demands of my freelance work compelled me to seek out a bigger, faster workhorse, and of course, Apple came through. I’ve been waiting about four months for the new, aluminum-cased iMacs to hit the refurbished pile. Five years ago I bought a refurbished, dome-style iMac and have had no complaints. Really!!
My sister Christine has already beat me to the punch with her purchase of the new 20-inch iMac. It was love at first connection when the new Mac asked if he could copy all the files from the old Mac. Fabulous! My PC-loving friends were green with envy.
